CVE-2019-20388 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 31 Debian Linux, Fedora, Cloud Backup and 28 more 2023-11-09 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
xmlSchemaPreRun in xmlschemas.c in libxml2 2.9.10 allows an xmlSchemaValidateStream memory leak.
CVE-2022-40304 3 Apple, Netapp, Xmlsoft 22 Ipados, Iphone Os, Macos and 19 more 2023-08-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in libxml2 before 2.10.3. Certain invalid XML entity definitions can corrupt a hash table key, potentially leading to subsequent logic errors. In one case, a double-free can be provoked.
CVE-2022-1473 2 Netapp, Openssl 43 A250, A250 Firmware, A700s and 40 more 2023-08-08 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The OPENSSL_LH_flush() function, which empties a hash table, contains a bug that breaks reuse of the memory occuppied by the removed hash table entries. This function is used when decoding certificates or keys. If a long lived process periodically decodes certificates or keys its memory usage will expand without bounds and the process might be terminated by the operating system causing a denial of service. Also traversing the empty hash table entries will take increasingly more time. Typically such long lived processes might be TLS clients or TLS servers configured to accept client certificate authentication. The function was added in the OpenSSL 3.0 version thus older releases are not affected by the issue. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.3 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2).
CVE-2022-3602 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Nodejs and 1 more 4 Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap, Node.js and 1 more 2023-08-08 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A buffer overrun can be triggered in X.509 certificate verification, specifically in name constraint checking. Note that this occurs after certificate chain signature verification and requires either a CA to have signed the malicious certificate or for the application to continue certificate verification despite failure to construct a path to a trusted issuer. An attacker can craft a malicious email address to overflow four attacker-controlled bytes on the stack. This buffer overflow could result in a crash (causing a denial of service) or potentially remote code execution. Many platforms implement stack overflow protections which would mitigate against the risk of remote code execution. The risk may be further mitigated based on stack layout for any given platform/compiler. Pre-announcements of CVE-2022-3602 described this issue as CRITICAL. Further analysis based on some of the mitigating factors described above have led this to be downgraded to HIGH. Users are still encouraged to upgrade to a new version as soon as possible. In a TLS client, this can be triggered by connecting to a malicious server. In a TLS server, this can be triggered if the server requests client authentication and a malicious client connects. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.7 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1,3.0.2,3.0.3,3.0.4,3.0.5,3.0.6).
CVE-2023-3107 2 Freebsd, Netapp 2 Freebsd, Clustered Data Ontap 2023-08-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A set of carefully crafted ipv6 packets can trigger an integer overflow in the calculation of a fragment reassembled packet's payload length field. This allows an attacker to trigger a kernel panic, resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2023-28319 3 Apple, Haxx, Netapp 12 Macos, Curl, Clustered Data Ontap and 9 more 2023-08-02 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A use after free vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 in the way libcurl offers a feature to verify an SSH server's public key using a SHA 256 hash. When this check fails, libcurl would free the memory for the fingerprint before it returns an error message containing the (now freed) hash. This flaw risks inserting sensitive heap-based data into the error message that might be shown to users or otherwise get leaked and revealed.
CVE-2023-2953 4 Apple, Netapp, Openldap and 1 more 16 Macos, Active Iq Unified Manager, Clustered Data Ontap and 13 more 2023-08-02 N/A 7.5 HIGH

CVE-2022-0778 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Mariadb and 3 more 14 Debian Linux, Fedora, Mariadb and 11 more 2022-07-25 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The BN_mod_sqrt() function, which computes a modular square root, contains a bug that can cause it to loop forever for non-prime moduli. Internally this function is used when parsing certificates that contain elliptic curve public keys in compressed form or explicit elliptic curve parameters with a base point encoded in compressed form. It is possible to trigger the infinite loop by crafting a certificate that has invalid explicit curve parameters. Since certificate parsing happens prior to verification of the certificate signature, any process that parses an externally supplied certificate may thus be subject to a denial of service attack. The infinite loop can also be reached when parsing crafted private keys as they can contain explicit elliptic curve parameters. Thus vulnerable situations include: - TLS clients consuming server certificates - TLS servers consuming client certificates - Hosting providers taking certificates or private keys from customers - Certificate authorities parsing certification requests from subscribers - Anything else which parses ASN.1 elliptic curve parameters Also any other applications that use the BN_mod_sqrt() where the attacker can control the parameter values are vulnerable to this DoS issue. In the OpenSSL 1.0.2 version the public key is not parsed during initial parsing of the certificate which makes it slightly harder to trigger the infinite loop. However any operation which requires the public key from the certificate will trigger the infinite loop. In particular the attacker can use a self-signed certificate to trigger the loop during verification of the certificate signature. This issue affects OpenSSL versions 1.0.2, 1.1.1 and 3.0. It was addressed in the releases of 1.1.1n and 3.0.2 on the 15th March 2022. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.2 (Affected 3.0.0,3.0.1). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1n (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1m). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2zd (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2zc).

There's a flaw in libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with libxml2 could trigger a use-after-free. The greatest impact from this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2021-3517 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 26 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 23 more 2022-07-25 7.5 HIGH 8.6 HIGH
There is a flaw in the xml entity encoding functionality of libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to supply a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with the affected functionality of libxml2 could trigger an out-of-bounds read. The most likely impact of this flaw is to application availability, with some potential impact to confidentiality and integrity if an attacker is able to use memory information to further exploit the application.
CVE-2020-7595 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 32 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 29 more 2022-07-25 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH

CVE-2021-22946 7 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 33 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 30 more 2022-07-25 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A user can tell curl >= 7.20.0 and <= 7.78.0 to require a successful upgrade to TLS when speaking to an IMAP, POP3 or FTP server (`--ssl-reqd` on the command line or`CURLOPT_USE_SSL` set to `CURLUSESSL_CONTROL` or `CURLUSESSL_ALL` withlibcurl). This requirement could be bypassed if the server would return a properly crafted but perfectly legitimate response. This flaw would then make curl silently continue its operations **withoutTLS** contrary to the instructions and expectations, exposing possibly sensitive data in clear text over the network.
CVE-2021-34798 7 Apache, Broadcom, Debian and 4 more 14 Http Server, Brocade Fabric Operating System Firmware, Debian Linux and 11 more 2022-06-14 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH

CVE-2021-46143 3 Libexpat Project, Netapp, Tenable 5 Libexpat, Clustered Data Ontap, Oncommand Workflow Automation and 2 more 2022-06-14 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
In doProlog in xmlparse.c in Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.3, an integer overflow exists for m_groupSize.
CVE-2020-7469 2 Freebsd, Netapp 2 Freebsd, Clustered Data Ontap 2022-05-31 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In FreeBSD 12.2-STABLE before r367402, 11.4-STABLE before r368202, 12.2-RELEASE before p1, 12.1-RELEASE before p11 and 11.4-RELEASE before p5 the handler for a routing option caches a pointer into the packet buffer holding the ICMPv6 message. However, when processing subsequent options the packet buffer may be freed, rendering the cached pointer invalid. The network stack may later dereference the pointer, potentially triggering a use-after-free.
CVE-2021-22926 4 Haxx, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 11 Curl, Active Iq Unified Manager, Clustered Data Ontap and 8 more 2022-05-16 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
libcurl-using applications can ask for a specific client certificate to be used in a transfer. This is done with the `CURLOPT_SSLCERT` option (`--cert` with the command line tool). When libcurl is built to use the macOS native TLS library Secure Transport, an application can ask for the client certificate by name or with a file name - using the same option. If the name exists as a file, it will be used instead of by name.If the appliction runs with a current working directory that is writable by other users (like `/tmp`), a malicious user can create a file name with the same name as the app wants to use by name, and thereby trick the application to use the file based cert instead of the one referred to by name making libcurl send the wrong client certificate in the TLS connection handshake.
CVE-2020-8285 8 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more 29 Mac Os X, Macos, Debian Linux and 26 more 2022-05-13 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH

A carefully crafted request uri-path can cause mod_proxy_uwsgi to read above the allocated memory and crash (DoS). This issue affects Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.30 to 2.4.48 (inclusive).
CVE-2021-21703 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap and 2 more 2022-04-28 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
In PHP versions 7.3.x up to and including 7.3.31, 7.4.x below 7.4.25 and 8.0.x below 8.0.12, when running PHP FPM SAPI with main FPM daemon process running as root and child worker processes running as lower-privileged users, it is possible for the child processes to access memory shared with the main process and write to it, modifying it in a way that would cause the root process to conduct invalid memory reads and writes, which can be used to escalate privileges from local unprivileged user to the root user.
CVE-2020-11868 5 Debian, Netapp, Ntp and 2 more 24 Debian Linux, All Flash Fabric-attached Storage 8300, All Flash Fabric-attached Storage 8300 Firmware and 21 more 2022-04-26 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
ntpd in ntp before 4.2.8p14 and 4.3.x before 4.3.100 allows an off-path attacker to block unauthenticated synchronization via a server mode packet with a spoofed source IP address, because transmissions are rescheduled even when a packet lacks a valid origin timestamp.
CVE-2021-3712 6 Debian, Mcafee, Netapp and 3 more 16 Debian Linux, Epolicy Orchestrator, Clustered Data Ontap and 13 more 2022-02-08 5.8 MEDIUM 7.4 HIGH
ASN.1 strings are represented internally within OpenSSL as an ASN1_STRING structure which contains a buffer holding the string data and a field holding the buffer length. This contrasts with normal C strings which are repesented as a buffer for the string data which is terminated with a NUL (0) byte. Although not a strict requirement, ASN.1 strings that are parsed using OpenSSL's own "d2i" functions (and other similar parsing functions) as well as any string whose value has been set with the ASN1_STRING_set() function will additionally NUL terminate the byte array in the ASN1_STRING structure. However, it is possible for applications to directly construct valid ASN1_STRING structures which do not NUL terminate the byte array by directly setting the "data" and "length" fields in the ASN1_STRING array. This can also happen by using the ASN1_STRING_set0() function. Numerous OpenSSL functions that print ASN.1 data have been found to assume that the ASN1_STRING byte array will be NUL terminated, even though this is not guaranteed for strings that have been directly constructed. Where an application requests an ASN.1 structure to be printed, and where that ASN.1 structure contains ASN1_STRINGs that have been directly constructed by the application without NUL terminating the "data" field, then a read buffer overrun can occur. The same thing can also occur during name constraints processing of certificates (for example if a certificate has been directly constructed by the application instead of loading it via the OpenSSL parsing functions, and the certificate contains non NUL terminated ASN1_STRING structures). It can also occur in the X509_get1_email(), X509_REQ_get1_email() and X509_get1_ocsp() functions. If a malicious actor can cause an application to directly construct an ASN1_STRING and then process it through one of the affected OpenSSL functions then this issue could be hit. This might result in a crash (causing a Denial of Service attack). It could also result in the disclosure of private memory contents (such as private keys, or sensitive plaintext). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1l (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1k). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2za (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2y).
CVE-2021-3516 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more 8 Debian Linux, Fedora, Clustered Data Ontap and 5 more 2022-02-07 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
There's a flaw in libxml2's xmllint in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by xmllint could trigger a use-after-free. The greatest impact of this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2020-24718 4 Freebsd, Netapp, Omniosce and 1 more 4 Freebsd, Clustered Data Ontap, Omnios and 1 more 2022-01-01 7.2 HIGH 8.2 HIGH
bhyve, as used in FreeBSD through 12.1 and illumos (e.g., OmniOS CE through r151034 and OpenIndiana through Hipster 2020.04), does not properly restrict VMCS and VMCB read/write operations, as demonstrated by a root user in a container on an Intel system, who can gain privileges by modifying VMCS_HOST_RIP.

CVE-2019-0217 8 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 5 more 14 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 11 more 2021-06-06 6.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4 release 2.4.38 and prior, a race condition in mod_auth_digest when running in a threaded server could allow a user with valid credentials to authenticate using another username, bypassing configured access control restrictions.
CVE-2020-11993 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 13 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 10 more 2021-06-06 4.3 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.20 to 2.4.43 When trace/debug was enabled for the HTTP/2 module and on certain traffic edge patterns, logging statements were made on the wrong connection, causing concurrent use of memory pools. Configuring the LogLevel of mod_http2 above "info" will mitigate this vulnerability for unpatched servers.
CVE-2017-15710 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2021-06-06 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
In Apache httpd 2.0.23 to 2.0.65, 2.2.0 to 2.2.34, and 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, mod_authnz_ldap, if configured with AuthLDAPCharsetConfig, uses the Accept-Language header value to lookup the right charset encoding when verifying the user's credentials. If the header value is not present in the charset conversion table, a fallback mechanism is used to truncate it to a two characters value to allow a quick retry (for example, 'en-US' is truncated to 'en'). A header value of less than two characters forces an out of bound write of one NUL byte to a memory location that is not part of the string. In the worst case, quite unlikely, the process would crash which could be used as a Denial of Service attack. In the more likely case, this memory is already reserved for future use and the issue has no effect at all.
CVE-2018-1303 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more 7 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 4 more 2021-06-06 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A specially crafted HTTP request header could have crashed the Apache HTTP Server prior to version 2.4.30 due to an out of bound read while preparing data to be cached in shared memory. It could be used as a Denial of Service attack against users of mod_cache_socache. The vulnerability is considered as low risk since mod_cache_socache is not widely used, mod_cache_disk is not concerned by this vulnerability.
CVE-2017-15715 5 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 2 more 8 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more 2021-06-06 6.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
In Apache httpd 2.4.0 to 2.4.29, the expression specified in <FilesMatch> could match '$' to a newline character in a malicious filename, rather than matching only the end of the filename. This could be exploited in environments where uploads of some files are are externally blocked, but only by matching the trailing portion of the filename.
CVE-2019-9517 11 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 8 more 23 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 20 more 2021-06-06 7.8 HIGH 7.5 HIGH
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to unconstrained interal data buffering, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens the HTTP/2 window so the peer can send without constraint; however, they leave the TCP window closed so the peer cannot actually write (many of) the bytes on the wire. The attacker then sends a stream of requests for a large response object. Depending on how the servers queue the responses, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both.
CVE-2015-7974 4 Debian, Netapp, Ntp and 1 more 8 Debian Linux, Clustered Data Ontap, Oncommand Balance and 5 more 2021-04-26 4.0 MEDIUM 7.7 HIGH
NTP 4.x before 4.2.8p6 and 4.3.x before 4.3.90 do not verify peer associations of symmetric keys when authenticating packets, which might allow remote attackers to conduct impersonation attacks via an arbitrary trusted key, aka a "skeleton key."
CVE-2019-3823 5 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 2 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 4 more 2021-03-09 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
libcurl versions from 7.34.0 to before 7.64.0 are vulnerable to a heap out-of-bounds read in the code handling the end-of-response for SMTP. If the buffer passed to `smtp_endofresp()` isn't NUL terminated and contains no character ending the parsed number, and `len` is set to 5, then the `strtol()` call reads beyond the allocated buffer. The read contents will not be returned to the caller.
CVE-2020-8579 1 Netapp 1 Clustered Data Ontap 2020-10-27 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Clustered Data ONTAP versions 9.7 through 9.7P7 are susceptible to a vulnerability which allows an attacker with access to an intercluster LIF to cause a Denial of Service (DoS).

A denial of service flaw was found in OpenSSL 0.9.8, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 through 1.0.2h, and 1.1.0 in the way the TLS/SSL protocol defined processing of ALERT packets during a connection handshake. A remote attacker could use this flaw to make a TLS/SSL server consume an excessive amount of CPU and fail to accept connections from other clients.
CVE-2019-8936 5 Fedoraproject, Hpe, Netapp and 2 more 6 Fedora, Hpux-ntp, Clustered Data Ontap and 3 more 2020-10-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
NTP through 4.2.8p12 has a NULL Pointer Dereference.
CVE-2018-16890 8 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 5 more 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 7 more 2020-09-18 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
libcurl versions from 7.36.0 to before 7.64.0 is vulnerable to a heap buffer out-of-bounds read. The function handling incoming NTLM type-2 messages (`lib/vauth/ntlm.c:ntlm_decode_type2_target`) does not validate incoming data correctly and is subject to an integer overflow vulnerability. Using that overflow, a malicious or broken NTLM server could trick libcurl to accept a bad length + offset combination that would lead to a buffer read out-of-bounds.
CVE-2019-5491 1 Netapp 1 Clustered Data Ontap 2020-08-24 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Clustered Data ONTAP versions prior to 9.1P15 and 9.3 prior to 9.3P7 are susceptible to a vulnerability which discloses sensitive information to an unauthenticated user.
