CVE-2018-1305 4 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 1 more 6 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 3 more 2023-12-08 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
Security constraints defined by annotations of Servlets in Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.4, 8.5.0 to 8.5.27, 8.0.0.RC1 to 8.0.49 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.84 were only applied once a Servlet had been loaded. Because security constraints defined in this way apply to the URL pattern and any URLs below that point, it was possible - depending on the order Servlets were loaded - for some security constraints not to be applied. This could have exposed resources to users who were not authorised to access them.
CVE-2022-23181 2 Apache, Oracle 6 Tomcat, Agile Engineering Data Management, Communications Cloud Native Core Policy and 3 more 2022-07-30 3.7 LOW 7.0 HIGH
The fix for bug CVE-2020-9484 introduced a time of check, time of use vulnerability into Apache Tomcat 10.1.0-M1 to 10.1.0-M8, 10.0.0-M5 to 10.0.14, 9.0.35 to 9.0.56 and 8.5.55 to 8.5.73 that allowed a local attacker to perform actions with the privileges of the user that the Tomcat process is using. This issue is only exploitable when Tomcat is configured to persist sessions using the FileStore.
CVE-2021-45105 5 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 44 Log4j, Debian Linux, Cloud Manager and 41 more 2022-07-25 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
Apache Log4j2 versions 2.0-alpha1 through 2.16.0 (excluding 2.12.3 and 2.3.1) did not protect from uncontrolled recursion from self-referential lookups. This allows an attacker with control over Thread Context Map data to cause a denial of service when a crafted string is interpreted. This issue was fixed in Log4j 2.17.0, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1.
CVE-2020-9484 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 26 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 23 more 2022-07-25 4.4 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
When using Apache Tomcat versions 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M4, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.34, 8.5.0 to 8.5.54 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.103 if a) an attacker is able to control the contents and name of a file on the server; and b) the server is configured to use the PersistenceManager with a FileStore; and c) the PersistenceManager is configured with sessionAttributeValueClassNameFilter="null" (the default unless a SecurityManager is used) or a sufficiently lax filter to allow the attacker provided object to be deserialized; and d) the attacker knows the relative file path from the storage location used by FileStore to the file the attacker has control over; then, using a specifically crafted request, the attacker will be able to trigger remote code execution via deserialization of the file under their control. Note that all of conditions a) to d) must be true for the attack to succeed.
CVE-2019-10219 3 Netapp, Oracle, Redhat 194 Active Iq Unified Manager, Element, Management Services For Element Software And Netapp Hci and 191 more 2022-05-23 4.3 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in Hibernate-Validator. The SafeHtml validator annotation fails to properly sanitize payloads consisting of potentially malicious code in HTML comments and instructions. This vulnerability can result in an XSS attack.
CVE-2020-13935 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 18 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 15 more 2022-05-12 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The payload length in a WebSocket frame was not correctly validated in Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M6, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.36, 8.5.0 to 8.5.56 and 7.0.27 to 7.0.104. Invalid payload lengths could trigger an infinite loop. Multiple requests with invalid payload lengths could lead to a denial of service.
CVE-2021-33037 4 Apache, Debian, Mcafee and 1 more 22 Tomcat, Tomee, Debian Linux and 19 more 2022-05-12 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.6, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.46 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.66 did not correctly parse the HTTP transfer-encoding request header in some circumstances leading to the possibility to request smuggling when used with a reverse proxy. Specifically: - Tomcat incorrectly ignored the transfer encoding header if the client declared it would only accept an HTTP/1.0 response; - Tomcat honoured the identify encoding; and - Tomcat did not ensure that, if present, the chunked encoding was the final encoding.
CVE-2021-25329 3 Apache, Debian, Oracle 9 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Agile Plm and 6 more 2022-02-07 4.4 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
The fix for CVE-2020-9484 was incomplete. When using Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.41, 8.5.0 to 8.5.61 or 7.0.0. to 7.0.107 with a configuration edge case that was highly unlikely to be used, the Tomcat instance was still vulnerable to CVE-2020-9494. Note that both the previously published prerequisites for CVE-2020-9484 and the previously published mitigations for CVE-2020-9484 also apply to this issue.
CVE-2021-25122 3 Apache, Debian, Oracle 9 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Agile Plm and 6 more 2022-02-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
When responding to new h2c connection requests, Apache Tomcat versions 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.41 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.61 could duplicate request headers and a limited amount of request body from one request to another meaning user A and user B could both see the results of user A's request.
CVE-2018-1000613 4 Bouncycastle, Netapp, Opensuse and 1 more 24 Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Leap and 21 more 2022-01-14 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Legion of the Bouncy Castle Legion of the Bouncy Castle Java Cryptography APIs 1.58 up to but not including 1.60 contains a CWE-470: Use of Externally-Controlled Input to Select Classes or Code ('Unsafe Reflection') vulnerability in XMSS/XMSS^MT private key deserialization that can result in Deserializing an XMSS/XMSS^MT private key can result in the execution of unexpected code. This attack appear to be exploitable via A handcrafted private key can include references to unexpected classes which will be picked up from the class path for the executing application. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 1.60 and later.
CVE-2018-1000180 5 Bouncycastle, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 21 Fips Java Api, Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux and 18 more 2021-06-14 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Bouncy Castle BC 1.54 - 1.59, BC-FJA 1.0.0, BC-FJA 1.0.1 and earlier have a flaw in the Low-level interface to RSA key pair generator, specifically RSA Key Pairs generated in low-level API with added certainty may have less M-R tests than expected. This appears to be fixed in versions BC 1.60 beta 4 and later, BC-FJA 1.0.2 and later.
