| CVE-2018-7407 | 1 Foxitsoftware | 2 Phantompdf, Reader | 2018-06-08 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Foxit Reader before 9.1 and PhantomPDF before 9.1. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists when rendering U3D images inside of pdf files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a type confusion condition. An attacker can leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process. | |||||
| CVE-2018-3843 | 1 Foxitsoftware | 1 Foxit Reader | 2018-05-22 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| An exploitable type confusion vulnerability exists in the way Foxit PDF Reader version 9.0.1.1049 parses files with associated file annotations. A specially crafted PDF document can lead to an object of invalid type to be dereferenced, which can potentially lead to sensitive memory disclosure, and possibly to arbitrary code execution. An attacker needs to trick the user into opening the malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. If the browser plugin extension is enabled, visiting a malicious site can also trigger the vulnerability. | |||||
| CVE-2018-6480 | 1 Ccn-lite | 1 Ccn-lite | 2018-02-21 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| A type confusion issue was discovered in CCN-lite 2, leading to a memory access violation and a failure of the nonce feature (which, for example, helped with loop prevention). ccnl_fwd_handleInterest assumes that the union member s is of type ccnl_pktdetail_ndntlv_s. However, if the type is in fact struct ccnl_pktdetail_ccntlv_s or struct ccnl_pktdetail_iottlv_s, the memory at that point is either uninitialised or points to data that is not a nonce, which renders the code using the local variable nonce pointless. A later nonce check is insufficient. | |||||
| CVE-2017-8291 | 1 Artifex | 1 Ghostscript | 2018-01-05 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| Artifex Ghostscript through 2017-04-26 allows -dSAFER bypass and remote command execution via .rsdparams type confusion with a "/OutputFile (%pipe%" substring in a crafted .eps document that is an input to the gs program, as exploited in the wild in April 2017. | |||||
| CVE-2017-2995 | 5 Adobe, Apple, Google and 2 more | 7 Flash Player, Mac Os X, Chrome Os and 4 more | 2018-01-05 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| Adobe Flash Player versions 24.0.0.194 and earlier have an exploitable type confusion vulnerability related to the MessageChannel class. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution. | |||||
| CVE-2016-8602 | 1 Artifex | 1 Ghostscript | 2018-01-05 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| The .sethalftone5 function in psi/zht2.c in Ghostscript before 9.21 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted Postscript document that calls .sethalftone5 with an empty operand stack. | |||||
| CVE-2017-5115 | 2 Google, Microsoft | 2 Chrome, Windows | 2017-12-31 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| Type confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 61.0.3163.79 for Windows allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit object corruption via a crafted HTML page. | |||||
| CVE-2017-5717 | 1 Intel | 1 Graphics Driver | 2017-12-27 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
| Type Confusion in Content Protection HECI Service in Intel Graphics Driver allows unprivileged user to elevate privileges via local access. | |||||
| CVE-2017-16379 | 1 Adobe | 4 Acrobat, Acrobat Dc, Acrobat Reader and 1 more | 2017-12-15 | 9.3 HIGH | 8.8 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Adobe Acrobat and Reader: 2017.012.20098 and earlier versions, 2017.011.30066 and earlier versions, 2015.006.30355 and earlier versions, and 11.0.22 and earlier versions. This vulnerability is an instance of a type confusion overflow vulnerability in the graphics rendering engine. | |||||
| CVE-2017-16367 | 1 Adobe | 4 Acrobat, Acrobat Dc, Acrobat Reader and 1 more | 2017-12-14 | 9.3 HIGH | 8.8 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Adobe Acrobat and Reader: 2017.012.20098 and earlier versions, 2017.011.30066 and earlier versions, 2015.006.30355 and earlier versions, and 11.0.22 and earlier versions. This vulnerability is an instance of a type confusion overflow vulnerability. The vulnerability leads to an out of bounds memory access. Attackers can exploit the vulnerability by using the out of bounds access for unintended reads or writes -- potentially leading to code corruption, control-flow hijack, or an information leak attack. | |||||
| CVE-2017-8159 | 1 Huawei | 8 Agassi-l09hn, Agassi-l09hn Firmware, Agassi-w09hn and 5 more | 2017-12-12 | 9.3 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
| Some Huawei smartphones with software AGS-L09C233B019,AGS-W09C233B019,KOB-L09C233B017,KOB-W09C233B012 have a type confusion vulnerability. The program initializes a variable using one type, but it later accesses that variable using a type that is different with the original type when do certain register operation. Successful exploit could result in buffer overflow then may cause malicious code execution. | |||||
| CVE-2017-0037 | 1 Microsoft | 2 Edge, Internet Explorer | 2017-11-19 | 7.6 HIGH | 8.1 HIGH |
| Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and 11 and Microsoft Edge have a type confusion issue in the Layout::MultiColumnBoxBuilder::HandleColumnBreakOnColumnSpanningElement function in mshtml.dll, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving a crafted Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) token sequence and crafted JavaScript code that operates on a TH element. | |||||
